***Obama President***

Democratic Senator Barack Obama has been elected the first black president of the United States, prompting celebrations across the country.

"It's been a long time coming, but tonight... change has come to America," the president-elect told a jubilant crowd at a victory rally in Chicago.

His rival John McCain accepted defeat, and called on his supporters to lend the next president their goodwill.

He says the American people have made two fundamental statements about themselves: that they are profoundly unhappy with the status quo, and that they are slamming the door on the country's racial past.

Computer have made the world a better place?

The computers are an invention which has completely cheanged the world. As it has changed the functioning of the world. The structure of societies has adapted itself with this piece of technology in spite of being such a wonderful invention we can't say with earlain by that through computer the world is a better place.

On the one hand, the computer has helped with the devolupment of science, technology and also has helped to make some jobs easier and consequently jobs have been easier to organize.

On the other hand, has created some negative factors. For example in addition the computer has coured unemployment as what a job was done by many people at presont there people are replaced by a machine. Another reason it causes addictions, what is more it causes people that send such things as e-mails or sms's tend to use a computer language which in the end causes writing with bad spelling. Moreover through messenger or chat one can meet crazy people who are only there to get into your privacy and try to blackmail you. Once you get intouch with fuch people one never knows what can happen.

In conclusion despite the fact that the computer has done marvel for the world, there is a dark side which means that isn't all positive, and like many other new technology it has its advantages and disadvantages.

Is humour necessary to survive?

I think humour is very important in live. If you have no humour then your life is very miserable. Good humour helps you to go through life more pleasantly. Even when you have problems and stress, if you keep your humour high help you to so through your worries better.
I believe there are two kinds of humour:

- There is the funny humour which you normally share with your friends and what I call good sense of humour that helps you spend good times with them.
-Then we have the what is know black humour which is more sarcastic and doesn't usually make people laugh, in other words not very pleasent.

I find that people who have a good sense of humour are people who everybody liks and are very popular. The majority of people love being whith them because they have are so happy. Not so popular are the ones which are have black humour because even though they try to be funny aren't always succesful.

Finally through what I said before, we ca conclude that, without a very good ense of humour it's very difficuld to survive, because without it we would be very miserable.

***Univeras Prayer***

Tiziano Ferro & Jamelia - Universal Prayer
This song is by Tiziano Ferro and Jamelia. It's called Universal Prayer. It's a very beautiful song. I like this tune very much because I think the lyrics are very deep and the melody is very catchy. I believe that the lyrics can be interpreted in two ways:
-On one hand you could interpret the song as a love song, because is talking about missing someone who is far a way and thinking about them while in the distance. Also it says that you must have faith and hoe.
-On the other hand you could interpret as says prayer to keep you
going against all the obstacles that we are facing in every days life. As well the words tell us to always to stay to gether an in that way we can fight all the problems in the world. And although I have dreams which I find difficuld to understan the world the prayer helps we to go on.

I’m just the same as you
I could be the same age too
Do the same music you do
Everyday.

No matter what separates us
The same stars we see at night
No matter what’s up against us S
till gonna have dream burning right.

I believe we fear what we don't know,
we can be our own enemy
But if we concord and
If you took my hand
I see a girl you see a man .

Everybody has the same dream
A dream in their heart
Get a chance to make a life
Love somebody they want
Open your eyes we’re all the same
We won’t be scared
So let’s sing together now
Na na na na
In this Universal Prayer

Oh oh … na na na na

I see the smoking light
That complicates a simple life
I’m here and you are there
Miles away

All you gotta do is believe
That anything you want you can reach
There’s no limit to what we could be
So open your mind
And set yourself free

I believe we fear what we don't know,
we can be our own enemy
But if we concord and
If you took my hand
I see a girl you see a man

Everybody has the same dream
A dream in their heart
Get a chance to make a life
Love somebody they want
Open your eyes we’re all the same
We won’t be scared
So let’s sing together now, Na na na na
In this Universal Prayer

And in this dream I have at night
That I don’t understand the world at all
You might be right but it seems to me
That we’ve come to fight too far

Cause I believe that fears
I try to save our souls
And hardest time will come
And all this pain will go
So try to understand
The precious things I’ve said
Every woman every man

Oh oh … na na na na

Everybody has the same dream
A dream in their heart
Get a chance to make a life
Love somebody they want
Open your eyes we’re all the same
We won’t be scared
So let’s sing together now Na na na na
In this Universal Prayer

Everybody has the same dream
A dream in their heart
Get a chance to make a life
Love somebody they want
Open your eyes we’re all the same
We won’t be scared
So let’s sing together now, Na na na na
In this Universal Prayer

Oh oh … na na na na

***McCain & Obama (dishonorable)***

A McCain-Palin ad calls Obama "dishonorable," while distorting his words and votes on troop funding.

McCain-Palin accuses Obama of saying "our troops in Afghanistan" are just bombing villages and killing civilians.

It accuses him of voting repeatedly to cut off funding for troops. In fact, the votes were for bringing the troops home, cutting off funding only if the president failed to comply.

Dear Madam,

I'm writing to you to give my opinion about the conditions and estate at university. There are meny thinks I don't like in the IES of Castelló d'Empúries.
First of all thegeneral autmosphere, that is the fact that there are metal grill on the windows, the colour which the classe rooms are painted in, the grey color is realy depresing. Something else I don't like either is the timetable for de ESO pupils because it is divaidet and some pupils waste all afternoon.
On the other hand Ilike the way the teachers dedicate alote of time with pupils which come from foring contries. Another favorable thing is theexcursions that the scool organize.

Differences between the film and the book

Differences between the film and the book:

The Frankenstein movie of Graham didn't respect all the real story book of Marry Shelley, he had put some details and some scenes and facts that don't exist in the real story but I think that he made it to give some intensity and action to the movie. When we compare the tow works we can see along that some scenes had been added to the film for example, in the movie, his friend Henry and Victor met together when they arrived to the university, but in the real story the tow men were friends since their were children.

And other fact that we can expect in the film it's when the cholera appear in the university citywere Victor went to study and it was the cause that conduce the escaping of Henry but Victor didn't mind that and he continued his experiment, after that her love Elisabeth come to see him and to try to make him reasonable, this scenes doesn't appear in the book.

But more than this, the film maker put some others facts which are unreal in the Mary Shelley's book, and it's about a Scenes when after that the monster kill Elisabeth, Victor took her to resurrect her, and it also appear a fight between Victor and The monster to own Elisabeth who find her self ugly and finally she suicide because of not could stand his new form as a monster.

That were the most important differences that we can find between the movie made by Graham and the real story of Frankenstein. Well in my opinion I've prefer the book than the movie because the director put some fact to make the film more interesting maybe but he just arrived to make it unreal and a bit ridiculous with scenes which make more laugh in state of make you blue.

First oral presentation

Description: My best friend

A good friend

Begoña's my best friend. She's tall, brow-eyed and she's got short brown hair. she's really good-looking.
Bego's quite chatty, because she talks to averybody and everywhere. She isn't a bad person, but she has her character and she sometimes says things which latr she regres. She's extroverted and good fun.
She's sensitive and a sympathetic listener.
Summing up she's someone who you count on in times of need.

Veselina Sasheva

We have olmost learn to respect our world. Do you agree?

No, I don't, because humans are destroying the world all the tme, and don't think about the planetand pollution is destroying the environment.I see the oral presentations and topics which are very interesting and show what I said.
Luckily some people now are more vonciencion about the problem and start changing their views about the polution. Car, domestic things like fridges, freezer are also made with a view on the future to protect the environment.
In conclution, althouh thesituation is grave there's still ope, if more people take car of the situation.

Too much importance is given to takin exams at school. Do you agree?

Nawaday and before in the past at school give nore importance to exas than to evaluating. Is true that the exams are very important, but in my opinion are not the most important, because in 1h and 10 exersaises is imposible to evaluate a student.
When I say before in 1h is imposible valuet a student, because is posible that he know ansver, but is very nervous and forget her knowledge and later the exam he remember. It''s also true that, the examz are important, but the exams produced stress to the students. The exams are not the best form to evaluate students, because, the students stady a lot the exam and later they forget avery thing.
In conclutio, I agree whit this, too much importande is given to taking exams at school, and in my opinion it i necesary to reduce the exams and not to give much importance.
